Six Steps That Will Change Your World²²   How to Reverse Global Warming²     How to Create the New-Corporate-World²

We (at The Life Center) know How to Reverse Global Warming.    The government won't.  The
people alone can't - but the corporations can.     Creating a New-Corporate-World is actually rather
simple.   TLC-Life-Center's job is to teach corporate leaders how to create  the New-Corporate-World .   :::         18

The New

Corporate World

Is a Workable Solution

Editor's Note:

This page is being presented in an interview format and is taken from this author's book titled:  An Interview with the Devil. '

.

.

.

Setting the context for the discussion below: :

T.L.C.   =    The writer conducting the interview.

Big D      =   An Angel of Light playing the role of the Devil in order to expose the illusions of humans living on planet Earth.

Topic of Discussion:   The present state of the world
It's is in pretty bad shape.   The vast majority of corporations are ruled exclusively by money.   The environmental concerns take a back seat to profits for investors.

In many parts of the world the people are desperate.  They are destroying the environment and destroying the capacity of their environment to rebuild it's self simply to survive until the next day.

The Corporate Goliath:

T.L.C.    Is humanity doomed to self-destruct?

Big D    Not if you wake up before you pass the point of no return.

T.L.C.    What does that mean?

Big D    It means that you have a limited amount of time left within which to realize what you are doing and to make several major changes in the way you treat the Earth.

T.L.C.   So it's going to take a lot more than just waking up?

Big D    Yes.   And unfortunately, humans have a tendency to realize what's going on only after it's too late.

T.L.C.   What does that mean?   Are we past the point of no return.?

Big D    Not quite, but we're so dangerously close to the edge of disaster that when we do wake up,  we'll need to function in crisis mode to save ourselves.

T.L.C.   It's that bad?

Big D    Yes, it's bad, but not yet hopeless.

T.L.C.   Some of us are awake.   How to we step up and fill in for the present lack of leadership?   What can we focus on that will produce major changes and at the same time wake up enough others to Reverse Global Warming before we pass the point of no return?

Big D    In two areas, money and religion.     Your false beliefs in these two areas and the resultant destructive  behaviors have gotten humanity where it is today.   Of the two, making changes regarding money is by far the easiest, fastest and most effective way to save yourselves.

T.L.C.   Are you telling me that the most critical factor in human survival is to change  the monetary system, particularly the way corporations do business?

Big D    Yes.

T.L.C.   Why?  What's wrong?

Big D    The pursuit of money has overwhelmed common sense and everything else as well.    In the United States, the fascist-thinking money-interests are in control of just about everything.

T.L.C.   You're talking about those who run the world's major corporations?

Big D    Yes.   In their single-minded pursuit of more money, they are destroying the social, political, and economic structures that produce the wealth they a hording.   Products are shoddy, service is lousy, people's needs are completely ignored, and worst of all they are destroying the Earth's capacity to sustain human life.

T.L.C.   How are they doing that?

Big D    They have taken over control of the government so that government now serves the wealthy and dominates the people it was supposed to serve.   The people are treated as subjects and servants of the wealthy and not as citizens.   The super wealthy have used their political power to change the rules and their financial power to alter almost every aspect of the physical world to their advantage.   They control the military, the police, the courts, and the monetary system.  They control the postal and  the transportation systems.    The moneyed elite control the mass media so that critics are, for the most part, not heard.

They have bought the fundamentalist Christian leaders with money, with make-believe power, and with illusions of grandeur.  In return, the Fundamentalist Christians have promised and delivered their huge army of mindless, fear-filled, fairytale believers who follow orders without challenge or question.

You might also note that those who are really in control are invisible to the public.   People like George Bush are their front men, but the real power-players are behind the scenes and are rarely ever seen by the public..

The  controllers  are well prepared to instruct their agents to use intimidation, threat of violence and violence to defend their positions of privileges.   They've destroyed the Constitutionally guaranteed gold standard and in its place have substituted an easy-to-manipulate,  highly destructive, fiat monetary system.²   Criminal activity is OK as long you they don't get caught.   They've even made previously illegal activities legal for themselves.

T.L.C.  Like what?

Big D    Loan sharking and gambling.   In the days of Al Capone,  back-alley loan sharks charged desperate people thirty-percent interest rates on loans.   That was considered a serious crime and those caught went to jail.    Today, loan sharking is legal.   The criminals have changed the laws and declared themselves to be  immune from prosecution.  They wear $1,000 suits and have offices in large, expensive buildings with their corporate names on the faces of the buildings.   It's still illegal for you an me, as  individuals, to charge any interest rate over ten percent, but some corporations are now charging as much as one hundred percent interest and that's perfectly legal.  Credit card companies commonly charge you and your neighbors  twelve to thirty percent and sometimes even over thirty percent.

T.L.C.   Why are financial corporate leaders and the behind the scenes men who control them engaging in this kind of behavior?

Big D    As long as they stay asleep, they have no other choice.

T.L.C.   When you say "asleep," do you mean living as if false belief are real?

Big D    Yes.

T.L.C.   Are you telling me that  as long as they continue to live in their false beliefs about money, they are stuck in an escalating downward spiral heading toward self-destruction.

Big D    That's what the evidence tells us.  They are stick in  other false beliefs, as well.

T.L.C.   Like what?

Big D    Their beliefs in elitism and their self-importance.   Their beliefs that they are separate from God, separate from nature and separate  from each other. '  The belief that they can destroy nature and not pay the consequences.   They can scam the public and get away with it, at least for a while, but they can't scam mother nature.  Even a seemingly small change can have a monumental impact

T.L.C.   The people in charge have caused massive changes all over the planet.   Where are all the problems?

Big D    The early stages of major changes are all around you.  Cause and effect are sometimes separated by a significant amount of time so what one does today may not show up many years.   The fact that humans have turned on Nature's Doomsday Machine ² is a good example of this.

T.L.C.   Yes, you've explained that.   Can we get back to the money issue?

Big D    During the past one hundred years or so, elitist organizations and the wealthiest families have built a system based on power, control, separation, competition,  and elitism.    There's a very small "in group" and then  there are the "expendable humans."  Everyone is in one or the other of these two groups.   If you are in the "in group" and you screw up or you  get caught violating society's rules, you get kicked out and become one of the "expendables."

T.L.C.   This is not new.   It's centuries old.

Big D    Yes, and in the last one-hundred years, the "in group's"  power and control has escalated to the point of near collapse under the weight of its own corruption.

Under the elitist structure, the thirst for more money now controls everything.    Their system has run amuck.  It's out of control.   The system now controls those who used to control the system.   They are presently at war with each other over who can collect the most money.   The corporate quarterly report is the holy bible.   Those who fail to produce are thrown out.   It's a dog eat dog, zero-sum-game which is well along on its natural course toward self-destruction.   Unless that course is altered,  disaster is imminent and inevitable.   And it is so huge, so powerful, and so pervasive, that when the structures collapse,  everything and everyone else will go down with them.

T.L.C.   What will trigger the collapse?

Big D    Three major possibilities loom on the horizon.   Any one of them could trigger a global level disaster.   There's the financial bubble.   George Bush and Company ² are living in Financial Disneyland.²    Deficit Financing ² is so far out of hand that the stock market could crash at any time.   Almost everybody in the financial industry is out to borrow money and lend it at a higher interest   Stocks appear to be selling at about three times their actual worth.

Every time one of the major money manipulators fails,  (Bear Stearns, Countrywide Financial Corp.,  IndyMac Bancorp Inc.,  and now Fannie May and Freddie Mac)  Bush and Company refuse to allow the market to correct itself.   They bail them out with more deficit financing.   The result is that the additional deficit spending spirals  inflation to still another higher level.   It  steals the value out of the money already in the economy.  And when the inevitable correction arrives, it will hit with a tremendous economic crash -- a crash that will be much worse that the 1929 crash and the 1930's depression.   The bail outs are all for their wealthy cronies only.   Hundreds of thousand of individuals who got suckered into phony loans are now loosing their homes to foreclosure while Bush and Company ² party and plan the next rip-off.

Then there are the religious nuts (the Islamic extremists) who are bent on destroying western society by any means possible.  And third is the human-caused, environmental destruction.   If we continue with business as usual, it only a question of which one will  come first.

T.L.C.   Are you saying you have a way to derail the self-destruction?

Big D    All three of these areas are desperate for attention, but for this discussion, we'll stay with the money issue.   The money issue is resolvable in a manner that will make major steps in Reversing Global Warming.

T.L.C.  You must be crazy or you're kidding.   How do we defeat an army of  financial giants -- giants with incredible levels of  power and control?

.

.

.

Stop Fighting:

Big D    Step one is that you don't defeat them.   You ignore them.   You stop feeding them your creative energy.  You stop supporting them.  You stop resenting them.  You even stop talking about them.   You just let them be.

T.L.C.    That doesn't make any sense.   If your house was on fire, you wouldn't ignore it.

Big D    Of course not.   If something negative has already manifested in your physical world, you must deal with it on the physical level.  However,  Rule One of Intentional Creating  is that you don't create something by fighting what you don't want.   The bottom line is:  "Whatever one focuses his/her attention on is made stronger."

T.L.C.    So?

Big D     Let me give you this by example.     Symbolically speaking, if you have a plant in your home and you put it in a dark closet and forget about it, what happens to the plant?   It withers and dies for lack of your attention, lack of water and/or lack of light.   Why?  Because you've stopped taking the actions that sustain its life.

.

.

.

Examine the Present Situation:

T.L.C.    OK, then how do I start creating?

Big D    The next step is to examine the present circumstances, and ask, "What's going on right now?"

T.L.C.    That's easy to see, and you just told me.  Corporate leaders are addicted to money.

Big D    The addiction is like the visible part of the iceberg.   There is much more that is not so obvious.   The connections are still there, but connecting effect with its cause takes a little thinking.

T.L.C.    Like  what?

Big D    Their addiction to money has become so acute that it threatens the survival of humanity.   Nothing else matters in the corporate world.   The employees, the customers and the environment be damned,  the next quarterly report rules the corporate world, and the only thing in the quarterly report that matters is MONEY and profits for investors.   Long term thinking for the corporate executives is a maximum of ninety-one days.   That's the time between quarterly reports.

T.L.C.    Are the corporate leaders bad people?

Big D    Definitely not.    There aren't any bad guys, only sleep walkers.   Most corporate leaders are functioning at the effect of the circumstances that they find themselves in.   Fear is their main motivator.   Survival is their main goal.   They do what they must do in order to either keep their jobs or to siphon off big bucks before they get kicked out.

T.L.C.    So how do we deal with that?

Big D    By changing the contex,² but before we get into what to do we need to be clear about where we are right now.

T.L.C.    OK, where are we?

Big D    In most of the corporate world,  the employees are being financially raped, placed in physical jeopardy, poisoned, and/or otherwise ignored.   The customers are getting screwed at every turn, and the environment is the biggest loser of all.  Death and destruction are presently coming down the pike at almost warp speed.²

T.L.C.    I already know that.

.

.

.

The Product Production Trio:

Big D    Yes,  you can easily see its surface.   I'm suggesting a look into aspects that are not immediately clear to the unschooled observer.

T.L.C.    OK, I'm listening.

Big D   There are three, interrelated  factors that product producers are bound by: "time, quality,  and money."  You can have any two, but the third must be sacrificed.  For example you can produce a new product quickly and cheaply, but to do so, one must sacrifice its quality.   Producing a high quality product that sells at higher price takes time.   And to  produce a high quality product quickly costs more  money.

Most corporations are focused on maximizing profits in the  shortest possible time.  Thus "quality" is almost always on the sacrificial alters.    The corporate world can be thought of as a family of churches where  The Great God, "Money" is the one and only God.

T.L.C.    So the public ends up with a poor-quality product.   Is that really such a big deal?

Quality In It's Full Context:

Big D    If the product, itself, was the only place where poor quality showed up, the problem would be minimal.

T.L.C.    There's more?.

Big D    Yes, much more.   We also need to  include the quality of everything else --  the quality of all the by-products that are produced along with the salable product.

T.L.C.    Like what?

The Employees:

Big D    I'll start with corporate employees and examine "quality" in terms of what the present system produces for them.   When profits are the sole consideration, what are the costs incurred and the benefits sacrificed by the employees?

Low pay.  Long working hours.   Poor working conditions.   Exposure to toxic materials.  Frequently working under dangerous conditions or in hazardous environments.   Zero job security.   Reduced benefits or no benefits at all.   And minimal or no retirement benefits.   Management considers employees to be expendable tools used to make a profit for the investors.

The Customers:

T.L.C.    And for the customers?

Big D    They are in the leaky boat along side the employees  --   Deceptive advertising,  -- minimum service -- cheap, poor-quality products at the highest possible prices --  etc.   See:  The Old Corporate World -- What not to do ²

The Environment:

T.L.C.    And it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the environment is also taking a big hit by corporate activities.

Big D    Not only has Mother Nature taking a big hit, She is responding in a way that will eliminate the human parasites that are attacking her.

T.L.C.    What do you mean

Big D    Human-caused Climate Change has not only released vast amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, it  has also started the release of the 10,000 billion tons of methane presently frozen in the Arctic Circle.   Methane is twenty times more destructive to the environment than carbon dioxide.   Each year, the amount of this gas being released is increasing.

T.L.C.    What makes methane more destructive?

Big D    When in the atmosphere, both methane and carbon dioxide are heat traps.   Much of the heat from sun that normally radiates back into space is stopped by these two gases.   Methane is twenty times more effective than carbon dioxide  at stopping this heat from radiating away from the Earth.

T.L.C.    Bottom-line this for me.

Big D    Unless this self-expanding cycle is reversed within the next ten years, the rate of release will escalate very rapidly to the level where it will become un-stoppable.

If this cycle is not stopped, the entire 10,000 billion tons of methane will be released into the atmosphere.   The environment will be drastically altered.   The consequences will be devastating, deadly, and inevitable!   The Earth’s temperature will rise about eighteen degrees Fahrenheit.    The ocean level will rise by about forty feet.    Most large life forms on the entire planet will become extinct.

T.L.C.    What does that mean for me and for all other human beings?

Big D    The possibility of human extinction is no longer a fantasy of the foolish and the paranoid.   It is, and  very likely will be, the inevitable consequence of human ignorance and apathy.

T.L.C.    So Global Warming could kill everyone on the entire planet?

Big D   It's possible that a few might survive, but life as you presently know it would cease to exist.    A consequence similar to what happened when the dinosaurs became extinct is a very likely possibility.

T.L.C.    That's scary as hell.    What are those in control doing to stop this cycle?

Big D    Mostly ignoring it, or denying it, with a little tokenism and some futile gesturing.  thrown in to appease the masses.   A few private citizens  are expressing concerns, but they are denied any significant voice in the mass media.   Of those who do hear,  few are listening.   For the most part, it's business as usual.

.

.

.

The Turnaround:

T.L.C.    Ok, now what?   Is there any solution or are we doomed to death and destruction on a colossal scale?

Big D    There are solutions, and it will take only a few people with foresight and courage to lead the way.

T.L.C.    Where are you going to find these leaders?   "Resident" Bush is either insane or he's secretly peddling  The Rapture. ²

Big D    Most likely both.

T.L.C.    The general public does not have the capacity to make the necessary changes;  the mainstream church leaders are hopelessly bogged down by dysfunctional beliefs;  the leaders of most corporations are addicted to money;  so where are any significant changes going to come from?    How do we save our own lives and the lives or our children and grandchildren?

Big D    The solution will come out of the existing corporate world.  There are hundreds of thousands of corporations and not all corporate leaders  are sleep walkers.   Many of them are actually very concerned.   They just don't know what to do that's going to make a real difference.

T.L.C.    And you do know?

Big D    Yes!   The next major step is the creation of  "The New Corporate World."

T.L.C.    You just said that corporations were the major problem and now you are telling me that they are also the solution!    How is that possible?

Big D    As presently focused, corporations are a major portion of the environmental problem.   But they don't need to be.   They can become the exact opposite.  Do you recall that earlier I mentioned changing the contex.²

T.L.C.    Yes, but I don't know how that relates to Reversing Global Warming.

Big D     Here's how.  The world's corporations have:

          The Means,

                    The Motive,

                            The Talent,

                                       The Opportunity,

                                                The Resources,

                                                          and the Ability

                                                                     to Reverse Global Warming.

They lack only one ingredient, and that ingredient is: "How to do so and still make a profit."

T.L.C.    I suppose you are going to tell me that you have a magic bullet, or the elixir for change, or that you've found the holy grail.

Big D    No, not in the traditional sense, because we're  not  talking about something that one person can hold in his/her hand.     We are talking about the co-creation of a few dozen creative people to get the ball rolling.   The steps taken to create The New Corporate World  are a  formula that will take humanity on a huge step in the right direction.   It's alchemy in the sense that it transforms "corporate lead" into "corporate gold,"  and it doesn't need any political input or any one else's permission to start the process moving.

T.L.C.    Where are you going to find these few dozen people?

Big D    Within the first few corporations that put this process into action.   They will prove  the validity of the process.

T.L.C.    Or prove it to be a bust.

Big D    That's true, but the process is so incredible simple that failure would take intentional sabotaging of the process.

T.L.C.    What's the process?

Big D    Six simple steps:

1)  Ask the leaders of the company you work for if they'd like to increase company profits and expand their power and influence in the corporate world.

T.L.C.    Wait a minute!   That's what you just told me was the problem and now your inviting them to expand on what's not working.

Big D    Do you recall me saying we are changing the context?

T.L.C.    Yes.

Big D    Well, profits, power, and influence, in and of themselves are not bad.   They are simply tools.  It's how they are used and in what context they are used which determines what effect they have.

T.L.C.    Ok.  Please continue.

Big D

2)  When the leaders of the company you work for say, "yes," and ask "how," invite them  to set up a special, independently controlled,  non-profit Foundation.

3  Then, each month, your company donates a small percentage of its profits to this Foundation.

4)   The Foundation uses the money to buy stock in your company.

5)   The Foundation uses the profit from the stock to buy more stock in your company.

6)    When the Foundation holds enough stock to override the votes of the money-is-my-only-interest stockholders,  then the  corporation and the Foundation, functioning as a team, can redefine the corporation's reason for being.   That's when the real transformation can begin.   At that point, the corporate leaders, the Foundation leaders, and the employees join forces and re-focus the company onto the well-being of the foundation's five beneficiaries:

a)  The Employees & Management         c)  The Environment

b)  The Customers                                    d)  The Remaining Stockholders

T.L.C.    Wow!   That is incredibly simple.    But you are asking corporate leaders to give up their power and control.

Big D    Not really.   They can resign from the corporation and become the managers of the foundation.   They just can't do both.

T.L.C.    Why not?

Big D    Because there would be a conflict of interest.   You cannot serve two masters and be loyal to both.

T.L.C.    You mean like  you can't ride two horses with one ass.

Big D    That is one way to say it.

T.L.C.    What about the huge salaries that some corporate leaders  are now giving themselves at the expense of the employees and the customers.   That will have to end.

Big D    The people who are stealing the company's assets and then sinking the ship are a  minority.   Most corporate leaders are above that type of thievery.   And those exorbitant salaries are about to end, anyway.  They will end with global-level disaster or with global transformation.   It doesn't take a genius to figure out which side to be on.

T.L.C.    What does one have to do in order to become a part of The New Corporate World?

Big D    Those who lead this transformation must:

1)   Be aware of the imminent danger and the cost of not changing

2)   Become ground-breakers and role models
 for The New Corporate World,
 ²   and

3)   Be willing to to release their addition to money.

T.L.C.    Ok, I'm ready.  Where do I begin?
