Edward R. Murrow, Where Are You?

Media (and politicians)  ---  Why Are You Ignoring the Truth?

In this time of deep economic misery, everybody is talking about the problem and asking, "How can we treat the symptoms?"   But nobody is publicly asking,  "What are the causes?   How do we remove the causes?"   Edward R. Murrow,²  where are you?   

The main cause is that the present banking system is obsolete, fundamentally flawed, consistently dysfunctional, grossly unfair, managed in secret,  filled with ethically questionable loan practices, riddled with conflicts of interest, owned by the super-wealthy, run for the super-wealthy, and managed by excessively self-centered and arrogant multi-millionaires who don't give a damn about the people, their plight, their rights, the truth, or the environment.   

The banking system is  focused exclusively on money and profits for it's owners.   It charges its customers hard-earned, interest money (money created with blood, sweat and tears) for the use of non-existent, make-believe money that they (the bankers) simply pluck from the air. **m2   With regard to serving the public, as it's presently being run, the American banking system is all but dead.

The main cause produces two secondary causes.   The most obvious comes from Deficit Financing.   It's called inflation.²   It steals the value out of our money and causes prices to rise.   The second is Banking industry leaders and the Wall Street financial wheelers and dealers have been peddling shady, high-risk loans.   They charge exorbitant rates of interest on loans of make-believe money.²   When the loans crash,  the bankers get the politicians that the own to  bail them out with more taxpayer, deficit financed, make-believe money.    To see the inflation scam, all it takes is a brief look at the evidence.   The supply/demand/price relationship² is not rocket science.  It's basic "Economics 101."   

Instead of exposing these truths, politicians and the members of the media shirk their responsibility out of fear of losing their jobs.   They give us canned propaganda provided by the banking industry and tell it to us as if it were news.   They dutifully ignore the causes and focus on stories about the symptoms and how to treat the symptoms.   Like lemmings to the cliff, like sheep at the door of the slaughter house, they quietly ride the cosmic version of the Titanic as it approaches the iceberg of environmental destruction and Global Climate Change.²    They even sell their own children and grandchildren into grief, misery, and needless death.   They look the other way while the economic disaster of unbridled government deficit spending steals the value out of the money and causes absurd increases in the prices of basic goods and services.   Edward R. Murrow,  where are you?   

The bankers, by way of  the media that they own, are telling us that expanding the problem (more deficit financing)  is the solution.   They can't really be that stupid.   The questions, then, is:  Why are they intentionally destroying the economy?²   Nobody is asking that question, either.

Media, where is your spine?  Senators, Congressmen, Governors, Mayors, where are your spines?   Quit sitting on your thumbs.   Stop lying by omitting the truth.²   Your jobs are already lost.   You just don't see that everybody else's job is also lost.  Or you won't admit it.   Your children and grandchildren, if they survive this fiasco, are going to hate you or think you to be incredible fools.  

WAKE  UP!    WAKE  UP!    WAKE  UP!    Edward R. Murrow,  where are you?
